Vol. 362 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Card.

121.

asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 has been refused a medical card as this person is in receipt of disability benefit and his wife has a serious heart complaint.

Eligibility for a medical card is solely a matter for the chief executive officer of a health board. Accordingly, in this instance, the Deputy's question has been directed to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board, for his immediate attention and for direct reply to the Deputy.
