Vol. 362 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork School Extension.

13.

asked the Minister for Education when it is proposed to start the construction work on the new ten classroom extension to St. Catherine's school, Bishopstown Avenue, Cork.

My Department have agreed in principle to grant-aid the erection of a ten classroom extension at St. Catherine's national school, Bishopstown Avenue, Cork. As a necessary step in the development of this project the chairman of the school's board of management has been asked to furnish evidence of satisfactory title to the required site extension. When this has been done, my Department will be in a position to sanction formally a grant towards the cost of the project, and to proceed with the remaining stages of architectural planning. It is not possible at this stage to say when construction work on the extension will commence.
