Vol. 362 No. 3

Written Answers. - Clonakilty (Cork) Hospital.

57.

asked the Minister for Health the patient-nursing staff ratio employed at Mount Carmel Hospital, Clonakilty, County Cork; and the plans he has, if any, to improve the situation.

The patient-nursing staff ratio at Mount Carmel Hospital, Clonakilty is one nurse per 11 patients. The Southern Health Board which has responsibility for this matter in the first instance has not submitted any proposal to me to alter this ratio.
