Vol. 362 No. 5

Written Answers. - Arbitration Awards.

53.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure that all arbitration awards are broken down to show how much of the total award is attributable to the various aspects in respect of which the award is made; an arrangement that operated successfully in the past and would give a headline to local authorities for future negotiations, ensure faster dealing and negotiating and fewer referrals to arbitration.

Under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the local authority and health services, which was agreed between the management and staff sides, it is a matter for each arbitration board to determine their own procedure.
