The cost of the reliefs of rates on land granted by local authorities in 1982 under the terms of the agricultural grants scheme which applied in respect of that year was recouped in full by my Department. There are no funds at my disposal out of which any payments might be made in respect of shortfalls in local rate collection in respect of that year.
