Vol. 362 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

30.

asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 will receive his tax refund and if his former employer has yet made the necessary returns to enable this to be done.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has not been able to process the taxpayer's claim for repayment of tax because he has not received details of the amounts of pay and tax deducted during the taxpayer's period of employment. The inspector wrote to the taxpayer's former employer on 8 July 1985, and again by way of reminder on 4 September 1985, for the necessary details but a reply has not yet been received. However, the inspector will now endeavour to arrange a meeting with the employer with a view to obtaining the necessary details.
