Vol. 362 No. 11

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

50.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 who worked with a company in Scariff, County Clare, for the first three months of the current tax year and became unemployed on 19 June 1985.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's claim for repayment of tax on the grounds of unemployment has been dealt with and a cheque in settlement of the refund due was issued to him on 11 December, 1985. The delay in dealing with the repayment claim which is regretted arose as a result of an oversight in the tax office.
