Remedial teaching at primary level is a matter, in the first instance, for the child's class teacher. Applications of schools for remedial teaching posts are processed by my Department's inspectorate and posts are allocated in accordance with a priority of need.
My Department has no record of an application from the authorities of schools in Glenties for the appointment of a remedial teacher and in the circumstances there are no plans at present to sanction such an appointment.
