asked the Minister for Agriculture the total tonnage of sugar being imported into this country; the countries of origin; the names of the importers; the uses that the sugar, which is being imported, is being put to; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The following table sets out imports in 1984 and in January-September 1985:
