When the scheme for payment of allowances to participants in the vocational preparation and training programme was introduced in 1984 it was decided that all payments would be made through the relevant vocational education committee. Accordingly payment of allowances to participants in the programme in County Donegal is a matter for County Donegal VEC. From inquiries I have made, I understand that arrangements for the payment of the allowances are being made this week.
