I informed the Deputy on 30 October last in reply to his question about Lisavaird national school, County Cork, that my Department had authorised the Commissioners of Public Works to arrange for the invitation of tenders for the construction of the extension. The preparation of the contract documents was expected to be completed at a date shortly after that. It transpires that, owing to the volume of work in the drawing office concerned, the documentation has not been completed and is not expected to be ready before early in April next. I regret the delay which has occurred and have asked that the remaining work be completed as early as possible and that tenders be invited.
