Vol. 363 No. 10

Written Answers. - Kerry Public Water Supply.

57.

asked the Minister for the Environment the total sum allocated to Kerry County Council in each of the following years for public water supply grants: (1) 1984; (2) 1985; and (3) 1986.

Kerry County Council received capital allocations of £6,406,000 and £4,697,000 for 1984 and 1985 respectively for their public water and sewerage schemes programme.

The council's claim for a capital allocation for their 1986 programme is currently under examination in my Department. My Department also paid grants totalling £467,200 in 1984 and £69,944 in 1985 to Kerry County Council for the Castlemaine regional water supply scheme under the FEOGA western package. As this scheme is completed, no FEOGA aided grants will be payable to the council this year.
