I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the certificates of tax-free allowances for the current year which were issued to the taxpayer on 4 March 1985 and 3 February 1986 were incorrect. An amended certificate has now been issued by the inspector of taxes. It is understood that tax has not been deducted from the taxpayer's earnings in the current year.
