In 1984 I informed the North Eastern Health Board that I was prepared to make capital funds available for the detailed planning of the extension to the day care centre at the Holy Family school, Cootehill, County Cavan. In October 1985 my Department wrote to the North Eastern Health Board issuing approval to advance to constructional drawings, specifications and final cost plan stage. My Department is awaiting this submission from the North Eastern Health Board. Building of the proposed extension will be considered as sympathetically as possible in the light of the capital resources available to me and the competing position for finance.
