Vol. 365 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Baldoyle (Dublin) Estuary.

20.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if following submissions from the Irish Wild Life Federation and the Irish Wild Bird Conservancy regarding Baldoyle Estuary, Dublin, he will declare the estuary a bird sanctuary.

I am satisfied that the coastal region between Dublin and Dundalk Bay, County Louth, is already adequately served with wildbird sanctuaries. In the circumstances I do not propose to provide for a sanctuary at Baldoyle Estuary.
