Vol. 365 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

76.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant for £5,000 under the tenant-purchaser grant scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The processing of applications for the grant is a matter for the appropriate local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. A certificate by the local authority confirming that this applicant has complied with all the conditions for payment of the grant has not yet been received in the Department.

77.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 was refused a house improvement grant for necessary work to his home.

Under the conditions of the scheme a grant cannot be allowed since the cost of the proposed work, (i.e. the replacement of an external door) as estimated by the Department, is less than the minimum qualifying limit of £300.

78.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.
