A special grant of £1 million was allocated to Dublin County Council last month towards the provision of a leisure centre in Tallaght. The planning and execution of the project is a matter for the local authority. I understand that the preparation of a design for the centre is in hands and that it is intended to make a presentation of a design for the centre is in hands and that it is intended to make a presentation of plans, models, etc. to the Dublin-Belgard district committee of the council next month. I will be pressing the council to ensure that work on the centre gets under way as quickly as possible.
