asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in County Galway paid social welfare contributions for employees in the past three-and-a-half years.

The Revenue Commissioners, for reasons of confidentiality, are precluded from communicating to third parties — other than to the Minister for Social Welfare under section 13(1) of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 — any information concerning the discharge by specific employers of their statutory obligations in regard to the payment of pay-related social insurance contributions in respect of their employees.
