These payments were in respect of progeny testing of young bulls which is carried out by AI stations as part of the national cattle breeding programmes. The balance of £9,200 in 1985 represented other miscellaneous expenses related to progeny testing.
The actual amounts which will be paid in 1986 to the various AI stations is not known at present.
