asked the Minister for Agriculture the AI stations which received finance and the amount already paid and which will be paid in each case under heading CI (4) £97,000 1985 outturn, £111,000 1986 Estimate, page 144, Revised Estimates.

These payments were in respect of progeny testing of young bulls which is carried out by AI stations as part of the national cattle breeding programmes. The balance of £9,200 in 1985 represented other miscellaneous expenses related to progeny testing.

The actual amounts which will be paid in 1986 to the various AI stations is not known at present.
