Written Answers. - Overflights by Foreign Aircraft.

33.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will state in respect of each of the last 12 months the number of flights by foreign military aircraft in respect of which permission was given for passage through Irish air space; and the countries concerned in each case.

The information requested is set out in the following table. Permission is given also for humanitarian search and rescue missions. From time to time permission is given for overflights along the Border. It is not the practice for security reasons to make public the details of such overflights.
