Imports of clothing and apparel are covered by Division 84 of the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC Rev. 2), i.e. "Articles of apparel and clothing accessories". Total imports under this heading amounted to £292.3 million in 1983, £325.5 million in 1984 and £344.6 million in 1985.
