Vol. 366 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

41.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a home improvement grant for the replacement of windows which has been completed and approved since last February will issue to persons (details supplied) in Dublin 5.

The grant will be paid in the next few weeks.

42.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Limerick will be paid £1,000 new house grant.

There is no record of the receipt in the Department of an application for a new house grant from the person named. An application has, however, been received for a grant for the house from a person with a different name. In that case the grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions of the grant scheme have been fulfilled. An inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

43.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford is eligible for a house improvement grant.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application under the current scheme of house improvement grants from the person named. The grant paid in January, 1985 in respect of the house would not normally debar payment of a grant for the provision of a bathroom and sewerage facilities in the house. However, the question of the person's eligibility for grants under the 1985 scheme is a matter for determination following the submission by him of a completed application form.
