Vol. 366 No. 6

Written Answers - Registered Contractor.

35.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment whether a person who is registered for tax can put his name forward as a registered contractor in respect of the new house improvement grant scheme, without his being registered for scheme, without his being registered for VAT, i.e., if a PRSI number will suffice in respect of the registered contractor.

My Department has been in consultation with the Revenue Commissioners in this matter and the answer is no.
