Written Answers - Grant Payments.

29.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if, in view of her low income he will expedite payment.

An inspection is being arranged and, subject to the work being satisfactorily completed, early arrangements will be made for payment of the grant on receipt of the inspector's report.

30.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a prior inspection and approval will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford for a house improvement grant.

An inspection will be arranged within the next few weeks with a view to approval of a grant.

31.

asked the Minister for the Environment the allocation made in respect of a home improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

A decision in respect of this application will be made when the applicant, as requested, furnishes evidence of planning permission for the proposed works and confirmation that an application made to confirmation that an application made to the local authority for an essential repairs grant has been withdrawn.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

33.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason, on making inquiries at his Department on 28 February 1986, Deputy Crotty was informed that a £2,700 grant would be made available to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny within a week; and the reason no such payment has yet been made.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

34.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for a grant to be now paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has been told twice that she would receive the cheque in four weeks but still has not received it and as she is in arrears of other domestic bills and in the circumstances, if the cheque will now be issued.

It was necessary to have the form SL 108 (i.e. form notifying completion of work signed by the applicant and certified by contractor) returned to the applicant for completion.

This has now been done and payment of the grant will be made within the next few weeks.
