The prices package for milk and milk products proposed to Council by the Commission did not provide for a reintroduction of the aid scheme for small scale milk producers. However, in the course of the negotiations I requested an extension of this measure. Support for this was not forthcoming from other member states and as a result the Commission did not amend their proposals in this regard.
