asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of farmers refused aid under the feed voucher scheme whose herds were ineligible because they were in excess of 60 livestock units.

Some 1,400 applicants were refused aid under the feed voucher scheme on the grounds that they had in excess of 60 livestock units.

164.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the total amount of finance paid under the feed voucher scheme.

The amount paid to date in respect of redeemed feed vouchers is £13.2 million. In addition 125,000 tonnes of EC grain have been sold from intervention stocks at reduced price, on foot of the grain element of the feed vouchers.
