Vol. 366 No. 8

Written Answers. - Louth School.

193.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in commencing work on a school (details supplied) in County Louth; if there have been any changes made or proposed in the original plan as submitted to his Department; the reasons for any such change; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The delay referred to by the Deputy was caused by the necessity to enlarge the extension planned at the school to take account of the closure of St. Michael's Secondary School, Omeath at the end of this school year. Construction of the extension is under way since July 1985 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
