asked the Minister for Justice the total number of gardaí as at 31 March 1985 and 31 March 1986 in: (a) the Dublin metropolitan area and (b) the rest of the country, showing separate figures for the Garda Headquarters and Training Centre; and the number of reported criminal offences in each area in 1984 and 1985.
