Vol. 367 No. 5

Written Answers. - Laois Headage and Grant Payments.

145.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if farmers in the disadvantaged areas of Slieve Bloom and Slieve Margey in County Laois will qualify for cattle headage payments in 1986; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Cattle headage and beef cow grants for 1986 will be paid in the reclassified severely handicapped and less severely handicapped areas, respectively. Detailed lists on a county basis showing the areas affected by the reclassification including the Slieve Bloom and Slieve Margey areas, will be published in the local papers of all counties concerned within the next fortnight.
