The total amount of funds allocated under AnCO schemes from 1981 to date in County Kildare is as follows:
£ |
|
(1) Temporary and Mobile Training Units |
370,959 |
(2) Community Youth Training Programme |
2,043,275 |

To date £136,610 has been allocated to County Kildare by the Youth Employment Agency under the community enterprise programme.
Apart from the community enterprise programme most of the funding provided by the Youth Employment Agency is allocated to national programmes administered by other bodies. Among these programmes are:
—ACOT's certificate in farming on which there were 71 participants from County Kildare at the end of 1985;
—the youth self-employment programme under which 18 young people from County Kildare had received guaranteed loans by the end of 1985;
—specialist employment subsidy schemes in marketing, overseas marketing and science and technology under which seven young people were working with firms in County Kildare in 1985.
It is estimated that at least £130,000 was provided in funding to County Kildare since the establishment of the Youth Employment Agency on these programmes, in addition to the funds allocated under the community enterprise programme.
