Galway County Council recently submitted revised documentation concerning the proposed revision of speed limits in the county (including the proposal referred to by the Deputy) to take account of the boundary alterations associated with the conferral of county borough status on Galway city.
The council has been requested to confirm that their proposals have the concurrence of the Garda authorities. Following receipt of such confirmation, the necessary regulations will be drafted as soon as possible.
