asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure that there will be a pro rata increase in the valuation allowable for farmers applying for local authority loans, in line with the recent announcement which he made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It has not been the practice to adjust the rateable valuation limits applicable to local authority housing loans in line with increases in the income limits.
