The post of consultant orthodontist has been advertised on a number of occasions since 1983 and no suitable candidate has come forward. Discussions are taking place with the Dublin Dental Hospital on an alternative arrangement to provide a consultant staffed orthodontic service for eligible children in the Eastern Health Board.
