Vol. 368 No. 10

Written Answers. - Howth Development Scheme.

74.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry if he will provide a covered area on the west pier of Howth opposite the syncro-lift, in order that maintenance may be carried out on vessels in all types of weather.

I have no proposals to provide a covered area for boat repair and maintenance at Howth. The provision of such an area was not included in the original overall plan. It should be borne in mind that expenditure in excess of £12 million was incurred by my Department on the Howth development scheme.
