Vol. 369 No. 11

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

117.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason a tax rebate had not been given to a person (details supplied) in County Meath as he has been in employment since May 1986; and if he will make a statement on this matter.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer did not apply for a refund of tax after he had ceased employment in March 1986 nor was the inspector of taxes advised that he had since recommenced employment. The inspector will now communicate with the taxpayer in the matter.
