asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the visit to Sligo recently of a Korean company (details supplied) with a view to setting up an industry in the vacant Snia factory at Haselwood, Sligo employing 600 people; if the IDA has approved this project and if the Government have approved the grants necessary to ensure that these jobs go to Sligo in view of the fact that over 1,200 manufacturing jobs were lost in this region over the past four years.

Limerick East): The negotiation of individual industrial projects is a matter for which the Industrial Development Authority is primarily responsible and at this stage it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the matter.
