asked the Minister for the Environment when the balance of a pre-1977 new house will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The balance of the new house grant has been paid to the applicant.

103.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a new house grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if he will acknowledge that this person was granted a new house loan by Dublin County Council, that he was a first time applicant, and that the House had to be built in the manner it was by virtue of the planning conditions laid down by Dublin County Council.

While a loan for a new house was approved by Dublin County Council, there is some doubt as to whether the structure provided is an extension to an existing house or a new house. An inspection is now being arranged and further inquiries made to determine if a new house grant can in the circumstances be paid.

The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford and if he will expedite this payment.

Payment of a grant will be further considered on receipt of the additional information requested from the applicant.

When the applicant furnishes the contractor's certificate relating to completion of work, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the grant.

On receipt of the inspector's report in relation to the completed works arrangements will then be made for payment of the grant.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite payment of a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid within a few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a final inspection will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in respect of his home improvement grant application.

The inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a house improvement grant for window installation paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where all works were approved almost three months ago.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having sanction issued to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who has applied to purchase the lease on his premises.

Additional information is awaited from Kilkenny Corporation in relation to their proposal to dispose of the fee simple interest in the premises to which the Deputy refers. On receipt of such information, the matter will be dealt with without delay.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.
