(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. There is, however, an application from a person with the same surname and from a broadly similar address. In that case the grant will be paid within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A grant cannot be paid because the floor area of the house is in excess of the limit of 125 square metres (1,346 square feet) specified in the Housing regulations, 1980. The applicant has been so informed.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There has been no undue delay in this case. The grant will be paid within the next few weeks.
