The estimated number of persons at work in agriculture (excluding forestry and fishing) at mid-April 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985 (the latest year for which estimates are available) are 187,000, 183,000, 176,000 and 162,000, respectively. Estimates based on provisional results from the 1986 labour force survey will be available shortly.
