Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Ballyteige Burrow, County Wexford.

117.

asked the Minister for Energy whether the sale of Ballyteige Burrow, County Wexford, to his Department has been completed; his future plans for managing the burrow; and in particular whether employment will be generated.

The Forestry and Wildlife Service of my Department has agreed a price with the owner for the purchase of Ballyteigue Burrow, County Wexford, for the purpose of conserving its sand dune system. The legal formalities attending the sale have not, however, been completed and it is not possible at this stage to indicate when possession of the property will be obtained.

Pending completion of the sale management arrangements for the burrow cannot be finalised. It is unlikely that management will entail any additional employment.
