The appointment of temporary and permanent staff in the County Hospital, Naas is the function of the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board. Under existing arrangements he may honour contractual commitments entered into before 31 March 1987 and has scope to fill critical vacancies arising subject to certain conditions, that is, making equivalent staff savings and keeping within the 1987 financial allocation for the board.
