Vol. 372 No. 3

Written Answers. - Mallow (Cork) General Hospital.

20.

asked the Minister for Health if the revised scheme for accident and emergency, and outpatient services at Mallow General Hospital which was submitted to him by the Southern Health Board have yet been approved; and if not when a decision will be made.

A revised scheme for improvements and upgradings at Mallow General Hospital which includes provision for accident and emergency and outpatient services has recently been submitted to my Department by the Southern Health Board. This scheme is at present being examined in my Department. Approval to proceed with the scheme will have to be considered in the light of other competing priority requirements within the Southern Health Board area and the capital funds available to my Department.
