Written Answers. - Payment of Fees.

73.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the amount of fees outstanding and unpaid by his Department and each semi-State body, local authority or health board under the aegis of his Department, to architects, quantity surveyors and consulting engineers at 30 April 1987, giving a breakdown showing the length of time for which the various fees are outstanding and unpaid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There were no fees outstanding on 30 April 1987, in respect of services provided to my Department by architects, quantity surveyors or engineers.

With regard to the agencies for which I am responsible, the matter under inquiry falls within the ambit of the day-to-day administration of those bodies.

asked the Minister for Communications the amount of fees outstanding and unpaid by his Department and each semi-State body, local authority or health board under the aegis of his Department, to architects, quantity surveyors and consulting engineers at 30 April 1987, giving a breakdown showing the length of time for which the various fees are outstanding and unpaid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There were no such fees outstanding and unpaid by my Department at 30 April 1987.

As I have no statutory function in regard to day-to-day matters in semi-State bodies, the only statutory bodies referred to in the question under the aegis of my Department, I do not have such information in respect of those bodies.
