Vol. 372 No. 5

Written Answers. - Castleconnell (Limerick) School.

91.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position with regard to Castleconnell national school, County Limerick; if it is the practice to award the job to the lowest tender; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The placing of a contract for the proposed extension to Castleconnell national school, County Limerick, has been authorised and arrangements are in hands for the completion of the formalities in that regard. The practice in placing a contract is to award the contract to the party submitting the lowest suitable tender, which may not necessarily be the lowest tender in monetary terms.
