asked the Minister for the Environment when the second instalment of a new house grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Clare.

The higher rate of grant (£2,000) is not payable where a house was substantially completed before 1 May 1985. The applicant has not established his entitlement to the higher rate of grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the application of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly for a house improvement grant.

A grant cannot be allowed as an inspection had not been carried out on or before the 27 March 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly, which was passed some weeks ago.

Notification of completion of the works has not been received.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will ensure that payment of a window replacement grant approved since 16 March, 1987 issues to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare.

An inspection, with a view to payment of the grant, will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment the level of grant payable to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A grant cannot be allowed as an inspection had not been carried out on or before 27 March 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment the outcome of the application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 for a £5,000 surrender of tenancy grant, as the copy of the contract as requested has been submitted.

Applications for the £5,000 surrender grant are handled by the relevant local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not been received in the Department in this case.
