asked the Minister for the Environment the amount sought by Dublin Corporation for landscaping work at Clareville, Finglas Road, Dublin 9; the amount allocated; if the outstanding funds required will be made available to complete work on this prominent site opposite Glasnevin Cemetery; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Dublin Corporation submitted a proposal in July 1986 to carry out landscaping works at Clareville Park, Finglas Road, at an estimated cost of £98,666. The contract approved for the housing scheme at this site included a sum of £16,000 for landscaping. Subsequently additional expenditure of £14,000 on this work, was approved giving a total cost of £30,000. The corporation have since requested approval to expenditure to the full estimate submitted by them and this is now being considered.
