A proposal to accept a tender for the Blackwater sewerage scheme was approved on 25 March 1987. The council informed my Department in October 1986, that the contractor had failed to complete the contract documents and requested approval to the acceptance of an alternative tender which is under consideration in my Department. At this stage, I am unable to say when a decision may issue to the local authority.
