asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The grant will be paid as soon as possible.

Applications for the £5,000 surrender grant are handled by the appropriate local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not yet been received in the Department.
