asked the Minister for Health in view of the increased funding of £15 million in the health services and the cuts in health boards and hospitals allocations of £22 million, plus further cuts due to demands to reduce deficit, if he will outline the areas of the health services which have received the net £37 million made up by cuts to certain sectors and increases in allocations.

Details of the total estimated expenditure for 1987 on a programme and service basis is set out on pages 204 and 205 of the current Book of Revised Estimates for Public Services. Included in this is an increase of £25 million over and above that provided in the January Book of Estimates, for services funded by the General Medical Services (Payments) Board.
