asked the Minister for Energy his intentions, if any, to set up a country-wide natural gas grid, capable of using gas to be imported by interconnector from the United Kingdom outlining in particular the new areas to be supplied.

Options for supplementing the Kinsale Head reserves and the implications for the future development of the market are currently being studied by Bord Gáis Éireann. When this evaluation is complete, the board will be submitting proposals to me for consideration.
